Some home improvement projects will require more than a good coat of paint. I know what you're thinking, "Duh!" But I must remind you, 90% of my kitchen make over was accomplished by two coats of paint and quite a few more curse words.
Let's start with the positive aspects of this bathroom: It's large, has tons of storage space (6'x 8'x 19" linen closet and a 6' vanity), shower and tub (the only tub in the house).
Now for the not so positive aspects: This bathroom and most of its fixtures were installed in 1972. Hello Mirrors! There is ONE integrated sink in a six foot vanity. Said sink is impossible to keep clean. The surface has cracked over time and is a breeding ground for all sorts of science... The linen closet doors are difficult to maneuver around when left open. The entry door is just under 24 inches wide and the closet door sticks out 18 inches. If someone needs you or something in a hurry -- well, it's a pain. The vanity could use some smarter storage space. And we really need to stop hording all the things. The tub is only 8-9 inches deep to the overflow. I have told my depressing pregnancy, big belly, no way in hell is this relaxing, bath story too many times. Nobody can shower in here because it will rain on the bar in the lower level. We've tried to figure it out; we can't. So, this tub/shower is only used for a quick foot bath or shampoo session while leaning over the tub edge.
Enjoy some before photos below.
